About Cold Hire
Cold Hire’s history can be traced back to a temperature maintenance company with origins in the mid 1980’s. A name change saw the business become known as ‘Cold Hire’ in the early 2000’s. In 2003 the business changed hands to its current owners and has been managed since then by Director – David Wright and his team.
While the business has moved locations over the years, its roots are firmly embedded in Canterbury soils. The most recent Earthquake forced move, now sees it situated in the growth area of Woolston.
Cold Hire remains focused on supplying quality and affordable rental refrigeration and has expanded its offerings into temporary fencing (Safe T Fence) and air-conditioning and refrigeration servicing and installation (Alpine). Cold Hire also buys, sells and trades new and used equipment.
